Hey! I'm Amy, the Teen Founder behind I Heart Hoops.

Basketball has been part of my life since I was seven years old.

The game taught me discipline, consistency, and the importance of hard work- lessons that have shaped everything I do. It gave me confidence and showed me that if I set a goal and put in the effort, I could make it happen.

How It Started

When I searched for jewellery that showed my love for basketball, everything was too chunky, tacky, or made for guys. I wanted something stylish that actually felt like me. Something that said “I’m proud to be a hooper.”

So, at just 15 years old, I decided to create it myself.

I had no design experience, just a big vision and a lot of drive. I taught myself how to design jewellery, build a website, and grow a community, all while still at school.

My first design, the For the Love of the Game Necklace, represents both the sport itself and the passion behind it. From there, I Heart Hoops grew into a space where girls could finally feel represented and proud of their love for the game.

Why It Matters

Seeing girls wear my pieces and message me saying: “These are the first sports jewellery pieces I actually love” reminds me why I started. 

I want every hooper who wears an I Heart Hoops piece to feel confident, seen, and proud of who she is.

Because it’s not just about looking cute. It’s about celebrating your passion, every single day. 💫
